Another project on the go

Yesterday after my painting class.................

And here's what I'm doing...see anything yet?

My friend dragged me to our local second hand/antiques store,
where I picked up these plates, and a few others. Apparently we are going to be doing mosaics with them! She saw something at a craft show on the wekend and wants to try it. Guess it can go along with the other twenty five things I am trying out! At least the plates look pretty anyway, almost too pretty to break up! And does anyone know it there's a way to break them where you want them to break or is it just pot luck?

Am also in the middle of painting up little wooden blocks, you know the kind with words spelt out on them, think my darling dad has cut me out about 300 of them!!! Guess I need to get back to it!

What pretty plates. The mosaic project sounds really neat. I would love to see how it turns out. Wish I could give you advice about how to break them, but I've never done it. You could practice on some throwaway plates though.

Thank you *so much* for your advice on how to organize my pictures. I think I will do just that. :-)

I love the plates!! Yes yes, I see a basket with a bird in your painting! Am I right or have I drank too much coffee?

Full marks to miz smooch! Although you missed the doiley peeping out from under the basket! lol
I figured if I post it as I work on it at least that will give me something for Tuesdays! [so I don't get nagged you see!] I am painting it to take to England for the cousin I found when I was doing the family tree, the basket is full of Australian wildflowers, and the bird will be one of our native parrots, at least that's wehat is meant to appear as I go along!
